Based on the previous answers, what would be the meaning of this?

In my mind…to eliminate your default profile as causal.

Um, is NPM crashing…recent? Did NPM ever run (for you) without crashing?
Can you try Chrome built-in password manager disabled…as test?
Maybe, you’re convinced Norton Password Manager v8.2.4.969 is broken?

Did you try reinstalling Norton Password Manager…as test? Chrome doesn’t have this option. I can uninstall and install again.

meaning, you have / have not…removed NPM - cycled Chrome - installed NPM?

In fact, I actually use Chrome without an account (default profile)

but, you run Chrome built-in password manager? Where are your passwords stored without an account?
