Advances programs? Which? Did not tell us. Non-Symantec? Here is suggestion of Norton/Symantec products support.
Logs? Did you mean non-NPE program? NPE create logs without internet connection (and cause of that absent of scanning process)?

Webroot has released a commandline utility specifically for killing the zeroaccess rootkit and Kaspersky offers TDSSkiller for similar types of malware. I am grateful to have these tools, but why must I rely on tools from other vendors? If there are threats which NIS cannot protect against there should be backup tools which can deal with them included with the product. Do you feel that is an unreasonable expectation?
