Hi,
Do I not need to add Norton Antitrack to Norton’s own Private browser? I subscribed to it, and the browser, but they don’t seem connected:
Norton AntiTrack doesn’t list Norton Private Browser in “Manage”, so I can’t add the Norton Antitrack Extension to Norton Private Browser from within Norton’s own product.
So, I went to my installed Norton Private Browser and clicked on Extensions / Manage Extensions and “Open Norton Addons” bottom left of Manage Extensions. Norton Addons does not include the Norton Antitrack Extension, or any Norton Extensions.
So, I am wondering if the Norton Private Browser somehow builds in the Norton Antitrack features that I’ve already subscribed too as there doesn’t seem to be anyway to add it from within Norton’s own products. (Also bought the Antivirus 360).
Seems odd that Norton has added an expensive genie type function within its product, but no linkage to its own extensions.

Hello @PurpleOrange
fwiw ~ I’ve heard users may add Norton AntiTrack extension from Chrome store
=============================================
While Norton Private Browser does include built-in tracking protection, it is technically separate from the Norton AntiTrack subscription. The confusion often stems from the browser not being officially listed in the AntiTrack management console, even though both products share similar goals.
Why they seem disconnected
Built-in vs. Extension: Norton Private Browser has its own “Privacy Guard”. Because the browser is built on Chromium, it already includes basic anti-tracking and anti-fingerprinting features designed by Norton.
Compatibility: The standalone Norton AntiTrack app often fails to “detect” Norton Private Browser because the browser is relatively new compared to the extension’s legacy support for Chrome, Edge, and Firefox.
Extension Store: You won’t find the AntiTrack extension in the specific “Norton Addons” menu within the browser because that menu often only lists standard security tools like the Norton Password Manager.
How to add AntiTrack to your Private Browser
Since Norton Private Browser is Chromium-based, you can manually add the AntiTrack extension via the Chrome Web Store.
Open Norton Private Browser.
Go to the Norton AntiTrack Chrome Extension page.
Click Add to Chrome (it will install directly into your Norton Private Browser).
Once installed, click the Extensions (puzzle piece) icon in your toolbar and Pin the extension so you can see your tracking dashboard.
Is it redundant?
The Norton Private Browser provides “Balanced” protection by default. However, the Norton AntiTrack subscription you paid for offers deeper, specialized “anti-fingerprinting” technology that frequently updates to stay ahead of more advanced tracking methods. Adding the extension to the browser ensures you are getting the full value of the premium subscription you purchased.
