Norton Product Tamper Protection issue; ARMA2OA.EXE BETA

So for the past several weeks i've been running the beta version of Arma2 operation arrowhead's base .exe file; as is required to have steam community overlay running without crashing the game on startup.

the following alert pops up in my logs at every second while the .exe file is active.

Category: Norton Product Tamper Protection
Date & Time,Risk,Activity,Status,Recommended Action,Date,Actor,Actor PID,Target,Target PID,Action,Reaction,Terminal Session
2012-09-26 4:31:07,Medium,Unauthorized access blocked (Access Process Data),Blocked,No Action Required,2012-09-26 4:31:07,C:\GAMES\STEAM\STEAMAPPS\COMMON\ARMA 2 OPERATION ARROWHEAD\ARMA2OA.EXE,4312,C:\Program Files (x86)\Norton Security Suite\Engine\6.0.0.145\ccSvcHst.exe,1996,Access Process Data,Unauthorized access blocked,1

i've already sent this error over to the developers over at bohemia interactive (the studio that designed the game) so see what they can do in the next beta patch they release.

That message is no issue at all. Norton isn't preventing the game from running in any way. It's just the game executable that is trying to read a Norton file and is blocked from doing so. It should have no effect on anything regarding the game at all.

Good!  That is exactly what I would have recommended that you do.  The game should not need access to Norton's process data and catching this during the beta test gives the best chance of correcting the issue.
