It has been a long time since I used the NRT. But I’m going to use it to uninstall NIS 2012 and then do a clean install of NIS 2014 on my vista laptop and a windows 7 desktop I will do all from the admin account
So if I remember the process correctly
1. Down load NRT to desktop
2. Disconnect from internet
3. Remove NIS using the vista remove programs feature and then reboot
4. Run NRT and then reboot
5. Run NRT a second time and reboot
6. Install NIS 2014 and run live updates until complete
Did I miss any steps?
Also the last time I used NRT which was back in I think about 2011, there was some issue where the NRT messed with something in the device manager of the vista system. I made it that there was a low thump sound coming out of the PC when the pic was starting up. I can’t remember exactly what it was but it had something to do with the USB ports in device manager? If that sound familiar
Does anyone know if this still happens when using NRT on a vista system. ?
