Norton removal tool?

I am wondering if the norton remove and reinstall tool is still available/needed to fully remove a norton installation?

I have found the link to download it, but it doesn`t` seem to work.

I am having problems ejecting all external drives from my system and the only thing i have left to try to see if that is causing the problem is to fully remove norton.

I can just uninstall it, but i wanted to make sure every part of it is gone.

I do intend to reinstall it afterwards.

Pasting the link into my browser does indeed take me straight to the download.

Thanks.

Interesting. I tried clicking on my link and see the same as you. I just typed the same address into my browser and it takes me to the download. Try that, and I'll flag this as a possible issue with the forum software.

Well something strange is happening my end because your link to it doesn`t work either.

If i click it once the screen just flashes, if i click it twice it gives me  a pop up that asks if i want to download multiple files, but doesn`t actually download anything.

Tried it on two different laptops.

Not sure where you found your link, but I just tried the one we usually post.    www.norton.com/nrnr  For the most thorough uninstall you start by running NRNR using the Advanced Options > Remove only. Restart the system after running NRNR. But be aware that this does not remove absolutely every thing Norton. There are still some folders and registry entries that are retained just in case you change your mind about installing again later.

The Remove Only is usually enough to resolve any issues you may have and to allow installation of another vendor's product with no conflicts.
