With a Rootkit I tested that infected 7 different drivers on 7 different occasions, Norton now detects the some of the infected drivers I had kept after swapping the driver over with a clean version.
Norton deleted the drivers, Detected as "Hacktool.Rootkit" , problem when the rookit is active the driver in question is in the "drivers" folder, and is required by Windows.
Once Norton deletes say "mup.sys" "ntfs.sys", "modem.sys".........................................................
How is Windows going to load??
