I have a rather large External Hard Drive with about 2 million documents, many of which are PDF.
During a recent migration to a new drive, I recieved the message that scripts had been removed from ‘many’ of the copied files.
Trying to restore all of them would take a long time.
I was hoping that somebody could help me understand the new ‘sanitised’ files better, as I have limited understanding of what ‘scripts’ actually are.
Will the sanitised PDF’s still have all of the information from the original file ie its text?
If things like hyperlinks have been removed, will the text to the link remain, albeit without the linking property or is the entire record of the hyperlink removed?
I’m just curious to know, what exactly has been removed.
As far as I know, none of my files would have embedded videos etc
Hoping someone can help!
