When interested in renewal of Norton 360 deluxe I am given os price of $119.99 (see enclose feedback of Norton support:

Shilpa K | 12:46 PM

It will cost you $119.99

The same Norton deluxe 5 devices costs on Amazon $23.54. Could Norton or the community explain why they believe that only the idiots and retarded customers  would be ready to pay 5 times more for the same product?  See below from Amazon website:

If you just click on this link to Norton's website,   www.norton.com   what country is displayed? You need to use the currency for that country to make a purchase.

If you are an American who is temporarily in Egypt, you are going to run into a problem with geo locked subscriptions. You will need to contact Norton Support to have them help you get a subscription that is not geo locked so you will be able to use the subscription when you get back to the US.     www.norton.com/contactcs   If using the chat function, as soon as you can enter any information, enter "agent please". That will get you out of the chat bot and connected to a human.

And bjm_ replied with

Here are a few things you should know if you stop your subscription from automatically renewing:

  • Your subscription will continue through the end of your already paid subscription term,

Sounds to me this answers your question.

9wood:

i will see if someone better can assist with my inquiry

Okay...I'll be curious to learn...what is your inquiry.  Thanks

i will see if someone better can assist with my inquiry

9wood:

Now, what policy/stance did you really ask for?

your copy and paste non answers are not what i asked for

9wood:

Please clarify.  What stance?
Please clarify.  What Norton has now stopped?

User may turn off auto renewal anytime after user setups/activates their purchase.

Norton subscription purchase includes Automatic Renewal Service. At the end of Your Service Period, the Service will be renewed and Your payment method will be charged the then-current renewal price (plus applicable taxes) automatically, without any additional action by You. At any time after Your purchase, You may change Your subscription settings, including cancelling Your automatic renewal, at my.norton.com.

no idea why you just copy and paste but still not answered anything

just repeated your previous non answer copy and paste

9wood:

i did not ask about cancelling in anyway shape or form ( bottom of your copy and paste)

"cancel your subscription" refers to cancelling (turning off) automatic renewal service ... and you asked about turning off automatic renewal.

<Cancel Subscription>
cancel refers to "recurring term subscription"....not your current subscription term.
cancel refers to "Automatic Renewal Service"....not your current subscription term.

When your renewal is active, your subscription will automatically renew annually or monthly, depending on your billing cycle. If you cancel, your protection will continue through the end of your current paid term and will not renew.

Norton subscriptions are recurring term subscriptions.  Norton subscription requires user account and user payment method for recurring subscription service.  Virus Protection Promise requires user activate automatic renewal.

Here are a few things you should know if you stop your subscription from automatically renewing:

  • Your subscription will continue through the end of your already paid subscription term, after which it will end and not automatically renew.

  • It typically takes a few hours from your request for the change to take effect.

  • Any benefits associated with automatically renewing subscriptions may end when you stop your subscription from automatically renewing.

How can I cancel my subscription? ›

To cancel your subscription, sign in to your account and visit the My Subscriptions tab, or we'd be happy to chat about it. After cancelling, your subscription will not automatically renew. However, your protection will continue through the end of your current paid term.
