Verizon e-mail is aka AOL, has been for a long time.

Verizon has retired our email service. We have completed our notifications regarding this change, and customers no longer have the option to keep their Verizon.net email address or extract and move their data to another service provider.

If you currently access your Verizon.net email through AOL, access your mail by going to mail.aol.com
If you access your email through Yahoo, please go directly to verizon.yahoo.com
For support and help with your email, please contact your email provider directly.

I think I have figured out how AOL deals with suspicious emails identified by Norton Safe Emails......

Norton Safe Emails does monitor AOL emails (even though AOL is not on the list of covered email formats!!). Rather than being flagged, however, those AOL emails that are suspicious are moved to an on-line AOL subdirectory labeled "Norton: Suspicious"...

The number of emails in that subdirectory tracks with the number of suspicious emails in the Norton Safe Email report that summarizes the number of suspicious emails for each of my covered emails....So I think I see how it works for AOL...!!!

I can then look at each email in the "Norton: Suspicious" subdirectory and decide what I want to do with them...

FWIW!! Verizon e-mail is aka AOL, has been for a long time. The issues with AOL are they want to push you into THEIR trash apps. Outlook with AOL also requires and "app specific" password which must be used with Outlook or other software being used. Wondering whether that is the issue. I use Verizon e-mail, although, I don't use Norton Safe E-mail. I have no need for other apps that add to the customary confusion of things these days.
