Hi peace_wanderer
Click the down arrow next to Norton on the top left of the toolbar and choose Enable Norton Safe Search.
Check if Norton SafeWeb is enabled in the toolbar.

For mdturner : In Norton Toolbar there isn't any Norton Safe Search, but only Norton Safe Web?
For TomV : The Norton Safe Web is already checked, but it still doesn't appear?
peace-wanderer: you mean, the green ticks are not appearing when you perform a Google search? Have you checked whether Safe Surfing and Enhance Search Engine Results are on? Open your NIS 2010, got to "Web" and click on "Settings", see if Safe Surfing and Safe Web Search are turned on; If they are, and Safe Web search is still not working, then you have to reinstall NIS 2010. If you have no other Norton products on your machine, you can use the removal tool.
Note: the removal tool will wipe out your settings and any other Norton products installed on your computer. It will not touch your product key, however, and your newly installed Norton product should pick up your key automatically.
-Also, back up your Identity Safe data beforehand:
-download the removal tool from here and save it to your desktop:
-download the full NIS 2010 installation package from here and save it to your desktop:
-make sure you have got your product key handy (you can get it from your Norton account) just to be on the safe side.
-deactivate any other security software you may have, such as Windows Defender. However, please leave Norton running. As a side note: running two real-time security programs on one machine is not recommended.
-if you wish, you can create a system restore point
-disconnect physically from the internet (remove the internet cable) that way your computer is not exposed.
-if you're in Vista: right-click on the removal tool icon, run as administrator; run the removal tool 2-3 times, rebooting each time after every run
-after running the removal tool: if in Vista: right-click NIS 2010 icon, run as administrator, let it install itself. When it wants to connect with the web, connect again to the internet.
Please post back with the results. Thanks :-)
For Yasho : No, not that, i mean like this.
Is your menu under Norton like this?
Nope, my Norton Toolbar doesn't have options like that. How to make it appear again?
Hi peace_wanderer
If you do not have the enable/disable Norton Safe Search option on your drop-down menu then I think you need to follow the instructions from Yaso_Kuuhl.
Yes - it sounds like something went glitchy when you installed NIS 2010. Please post back with how it goes - thanks.
Isn’t there any other way to make it back? If tha’s only the way, I’ll try! Thank you for you all!
Sorry peace_wanderer, there’s nothing else which occurs to me :-/

Hi peace_wanderer
Sorry, I have tried everything I can think of to replicate the issue you have (no option in the drop down to enable safe search) but have been unable to do so.
peace_wanderer
Where are you located and what version is your OS (XP, Vista) and what language is the OS language, please?
I’m using Windows Vista SP 2 32 bit. I’ll tell you the problem, at the first time when finished NIS 2010 installation, and started IE 8, the Norton Safe Search appeared. But for somereason, I disabled it using IE8 disable Add-On Feature. Then when I enabled it again, the Norton Safe Search didn’t appear. But the other Norton Tool was appear and fuctioned. That’s the problem.
Is the toolbar working properly now after uninstalling and installing NIS 2010?
Maybe I’ll try tomorrow, because in my place GMT+8 (Indonesia), it’s bed time, once I’ve done with this problem, I’ll tell you all, thank you very much!

So your problem is not solved. Please go to my post which you chose as the solution, then go to "Options" and select "Unmark as Accepted Solution". Marking a thread solved even though the problem is not solved will not help you since less people will read the post - you will end up getting less support.
Please tell us how it goes tomorrow. Thanks :-)
