Norton Safe Web is marking us as dangerous

We provide a service similar to box.net or dropbox from our site www.zyncro.com and my.zyncro.com. Basically the users can upload files and share them regardless of the content of the files. When there is a file with a virus, which gets downloaded by someone with Norton antivirus, we get an unsafe mark from Norton Safe Web. Right now our process is to delete the files and ask for a reevaluation which gets us the safe mark again. If we download the same file from dropbox or box.net they do not get the unsafe mark as, I guess, there must be a list for trusted websites. We would like to know what we can do so that you trust us and we get the permanent safe mark as they have.

We are starting our service in Japan next week with www.zyncro.jp and my.zyncro.jp and we are very worried at any negative image we can have.

Hi Zyncro,

We have manually analysed zyncro.com and found that malicious pages have been removed from the server, so we have changed its rating to green.

We give corporate services and our customers can upload whatever kind of files they want, even if they are not safe (at least this is our position up to this day).

I have seen that dropbox uses dl.dropbox.com for they downloads and they are marked as safe, whereas if you check dl.dropbox.com/u/26146680, for instance, it is marked as not safe. How does it work? we use urls similar to the dropbox ones but our main domain is the one that gets the red mark.

Thanks

Hi Zyncro,

We have already written partition rule for ‘dropbox.com’, so that each user uploaded url will have separate rating & ownership. If you can let us know the structure of the your domain, we can go ahead and write the rule for your domain.

Hi Rajesh,

This is exactly what we need. I send you the structures of our domain so you can create the partition rules. Let me know if you need anything else

Thanks in advance.

Hi Rajesh, I forgot to tell you that we have the same structure in Japan, which I attach together with the one I already sent you as it seams it did not get well posted

Hi Zyncro,

We will be partitioning 'zyncro.com'‘zyncro.jp’ for granular rating, so that members pages will have separate rating
