In April, I entered my site address into your Norton Safe Web Site - where it asks 'is this site safe?'. It told me that my site had not yet been tested - it also stated that my site was then scheduled for testing. I keep waiting for it to be tested.
Now when I check, it simply states that my site has not been tested yet. It no longer states that my site has been scheduled for testing.
Do I have to go through the site owner authentication to now have my site evaluated and rated?

When I try to click the email link for re-evaluation I get a popup message "Failed to add for re-evaluation" or it tells me that Norton Safeweb is unavailable. The html file has been uploaded & I have been verified as the owner. What else do I need to do? When a site says "Site not tested" at Safeweb it should then provide a link with useful information as to the next steps that a site owner needs to take.
It takes me 2 minutes to get my site verified on Google... I've been working on this Safeweb thing for 2 days now.

Good catch and we thank you for your valuable suggestion. I will commmunicate this to our SafeWeb team. In the meantime, may I request you to post this as a feedback in the SafeWeb site as well. This will help us track your suggestions and work on it along with the other enhancement requests that we get.
Cheers,

I have double checked your meta tag along with counting the characters and unless I'm missing something, it looks properly formatted to me.
So, when you go into your Safe Web profile and attempt to verify ownership, you do not see this "ownership verified" under status?
Could you please go back and triple check the exact spelling (letter for letter) of the website you registered with Safe Web. There was a member recently who made a typo when registering his website with Safe Web, so verification was not possible until it was corrected.
When I tryed to verify the websites ownership, I still received the verification failed message. I then removed my site from the profile and added the site back into Norton safe Web. Then I created the verification file, copied it into my website's meta tag contents again just to insure that I had the correct website name and 128 character code in the content for my website's meta tag. When I returned to Norton safe Web and attempted to verify my website ownership I received another verification error. My website was originally created with the URL of http://www.ronniecoleinger.com but after Godaddy installed the SSL certifications, when I enter that original URL, my website will appear with the URL as https://ronniecoleinger.com. I pass that bit of information along because I am not certain if it matters in the URL I am putting into Norton Safe Web verification.
Thanks for your help and I am open to any more thoughts you have have to offer.
Leave the meta tag in place and I shall notify the Safe Web team who will take a look at your site. Allow them a day or two to respond back to you in this thread.
Once ownership has been verified, your site will be queued for the rating evaluation.
Be sure the code remains in place until ownership is verified. Leaving the code in the meta tag will not affect your site or the visitor's experience.
I just discovered that my trusted site check mark is green. I thank you and the Guru, Phil_D for your assistance. I will attempt to send Kudos and check the solution box for all the your help.
