So I'm currently in a situation where Norton scans won't complete, in that they will just hang on scanning, and won't finish. When I then try to close/cancel the scan, it asks me whether I'm sure, and then doesn't actually do anything. The buttons at the bottom right become greyed out, and then the scan screen remains there and can't be closed even in task manager. I can have multiple scan screens like this. I thought the solution would be to download the Norton remove and reinstall tool, but infuriatingly, it won't even run. I double click it, and nothing happens. I can see the process in task manager, but that's it.
This all seemingly started after I started a full system scan and went to do other things around the house, then came back around 45 mins later and cancelled the rest of the scan. The scan didn't close, and this whole ordeal began.
I'm running Win 10, and there doesn't seem to be any other issues.
