Norton Screen Care - free or not?

My Norton 360 with LifeLock subscription indicated I had Norton Screen Care available for one phone screen.  I decided to install the app on my cell phone.  After doing so, I received 2 emails.  One of these emails was from Norton Device Care Support [nortondevicecaresupport@servify.tech] and included an attachment called "Policy Schedule Document.pdf".  This document listed a cost of $7.24, but did not specify if this was one-time, monthly, or annual.  Why would there be a cost if this was part of my subscription?

Nothing was charged (yet) to the credit card on my Norton account.

Can someone clarify this?

I've since removed the app from my phone as I do not trust such inconsistent messaging.

Thanks.

Thanks

Here's an update:

On 7/6/2020, I responded back to the email address that contained the attachment (nortondevicecaresupport@servify.tech).  I basically was requesting that because of the conflicting data that I wanted to cancel the subscription so as not to incur any cost.  I had already removed the app from my phone.

After several email exchanges, they finally admitted that the $7.24 was an error and there was no cost to the service.  It took several additional email exchanges for them to confirm that the service was actually cancelled.  The final email was received on 7/22/2020 confirming cancellation.

In summary, this company was hideous to work with.  It also seems like a rather foolish design to require a Screen Care app on your phone, which has access to your phone data.  If the screen is actually broken and you need to access the service, how would you access the app with a broken screen?  Silly design!

Also, because of this gross mismanagement of this service, I will not take advantage of the "free" Norton Utilities that also came with the subscription.  Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me!

Any progress about the Policy Schedule Document and $7.24 cost?

Thanks

@RandyJayStevens I sent a PM! This is interesting. Sorry for the confusion! Hopefully I can help sort things out quickly (and for potentially other customers too)

@RandyJayStevens

I spoke with

us_support(@)servify.tech

I pretended that I enrolled in Norton Screen Care and was wondering about the email I received with Policy Schedule Document.pdf attachment + $7.24 cost.

The rep I spoke to suggested I send the email with attachment back to nortondevicecaresupport(@)servify.tech.

The rep advised I should have received one email...but, was unaware about second email.
The rep advised Norton Screen Care is complementary with certain terms and conditions...but, was unaware of Policy Schedule Document nor $7.24 cost.

The rep requested I send the email + attachment to nortondevicecaresupport(@)servify.tech and inquire about the Policy Schedule Document and $7.24 cost.

The rep was assuring that nortondevicecaresupport(@)servify.tech would be able to answer my questions, my concerns by return email.

Thanks

The emails sent to me after registering my phone indicated the loyalty offer was no cost, yet cost $7.24.

Might $7.24 be charge if *Important subscription and pricing terms - are not satisfied? IDK
Was there any information about cost, tax or fees with Screen Care License Agreement or Terms & Conditions or any Screen Care legalese?
Sorry

The info you pasted from Norton's websites just adds to the confusion.   I did everything per the websites' instructions.  The emails sent to me after registering my phone indicated the loyalty offer was no cost, yet cost $7.24.

Specifically, the statements within the Policy Schedule Document are conflicting:

  • "You just redeemed your loyalty offer"
  • "Your Norton Screen Care Protection Plan Purchase Receipt"
  • Cost $7.24

Maybe...
