Norton Secure VPN connection drops frequently - Emmanuel Katto Uganda

Hi everyone, I am Emmanuel Katto from Uganda.

I've been using Norton Secure VPN on my Windows 10 laptop for a few months now, and while I've been generally happy with the service, I've noticed that the connection keeps dropping frequently. This is happening even when I'm not actively using my VPN, and it's causing some issues with my online activities.

Here are the details:

  • Operating System: Windows 10 Home (64-bit)
  • Norton Secure VPN version: 6.21.0.41

When the connection drops, I usually get an error message that says "VPN connection lost" or "VPN server disconnected". I've tried restarting the service, checking my internet connection, and even reinstalling the app, but the issue persists.

Has anyone else experienced this issue with Norton Secure VPN? Please let me know.

Over the last week my Norton VPN has been dropping or disconnecting from my Android (Samsung Galaxy) phone. I have uninstalled/reinstalled the app, made sure it us the current version, logged out/in, restarted the phone, etc. I’m still having the same issue.

Hello Emmanuel. Although using a VPN in your country isn't "illegal", your government does have some restrictions in place. Due to "tax avoidance" regarding social media usage. I'm thinking that is more your issue than the VPN itself.
