Norton Security about to expire

Hi

My Norton Security is about to expire. I see the product is no longer available on the Norton website, instead Norton 360 is offered.

I don't really need the bells and whistles of Norton 360 (not to mention it's more expensive), so I'm looking for some advice.

1. If there's an option to extend my Norton Security subscription, will the product continue to receive support and updates?

2. If I went with Norton 360, would I have to uninstall my Norton Security, or is there an in-place upgrade when switching?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for that. Will give it a go.

peterweb, I really need to use the offline installer because when I update my Windows installations, I do clean installs (no network access).

OK. Try this link for the new 360 products.   http://www.norton.com/cspn360

Thanks for the links, SoulAsylum, but I'm looking for offline installer links.

When I used Norton Security, I used the offline installer at norton.com/latestns when reinstalling Windows. Do you know if such a link exists for Norton 360 Deluxe?

Best to sign into your Norton Account. The download links we used to use were often a couple of updates short of the latest version. Downloading from your Account gets you the most up to date version. But you should still run LiveUpdate manually a few times, restarting as necessary, until no updates are available.

Current links for products are listed below for you.

Cheers

Many thanks for that information. I see what you mean about price, so might I as well go with Norton 360 Deluxe.

Thanks.

1.  You could renew your current subscription through your currently installed Norton Security product. From the main UI, click on Renew beside the number of days remaining. That process should allow you to keep your older product, but the price will be more than if you had purchased from a retailer (which you can no longer do as your product is no longer available). This renewal price may end up being as expensive or more than just getting the new 360 product.

2.   If you do purchase the new 360 product, you can again open your current Norton Security UI and click on Help > Enter Product Key at the bottom right. That will initiate the upgrade process that will remove your old product and then install the new, saving most of your custom settings.  Just be sure you are logged into a Windows Admin account when you do this.
