Norton Security should scan zip files as soon as they are downloaded

I downloaded a zipped file last week.  Today, when my full system scan ran, it detected several viruses in the zipped file.

I saw an old post by an employee with an explanation https://community.norton.com/en/forums/what-type-file-auto-protect-when-there-written-and-read-hd

Container files such as Zip files are scanned by AutoProtect but only as raw files. The individual files embedded within container files are not scanned by AutoProtect. If you try to extract the files and run them, however, AutoProtect will detect them. Manual scans will scan within container files if the product is configured to do so.

NS should scan zip files as soon as they are downloaded.

If NS doesn't catch the viruses in a zipped file ASAP when I download it to my machine, it would be possible for me to spread viruses to others before my weekly full system scan, e.g., I could transmit it via email or thumb drive.

[..] it would be nice if Norton scan compressed files with real-time modules also. I agree with Mike1776 post there... Especially considering that user's manual said that this option should scan a content of compressed files.
