"Norton Security Stopped Working"

Got this message in the Reliability Monitor twice in the past week or so: "Norton Security Stopped Working"

Fault description:
Faulting Application Path:    C:\Program Files (x86)\Norton Security\Engine\22.8.1.14\NS.exe

Problem signature
Problem Event Name:    BEX
Application Name:    NS.exe
Application Version:    13.1.2.9
Application Timestamp:    57d1daa2
Fault Module Name:    webio.dll
Fault Module Version:    10.0.14393.206

What I see in Norton history at the same time as this error is: "Unauthorized access blocked"

Actor: C:\WINDOWS\SYSWOW64\WERFAULT.EXE

Target:  C:\Program Files (x86)\Norton Security\Engine\22.8.1.14\NS.exe

 

As far as I can tell, Norton did not actually stop working.

Any suggestions how to fix this error ?
