First time Iâve used this, didnât get the details in. This was after the big Windows update from last week. Norton runs the virus scan, but locks up at checking the wifi, and never recovers after, like a half hour. This has happened twice, including just now. I didnât wait but about 15 minutes this time. Is this happening to anyone else, and is there a fix?
Hi. Iâm having the same issue.
Since Windows had an update last week Smart Scan can no longer complete the âNetworkâ check. It completes the âViruses and Malwareâ check (no threats found), but it just gets stuck on the âNetwork - ScanningâŚâ section, with the âspinningâ icon looping, but nothing.
Iâve rebooted the computer, and even left the computer on overnight with the âNetwork checkâ running, but it was still just âspinningâ this morning.
~ Iâve tried to embed an image of the screen but this post wonât allow that.
On the screen is âNetwork - ScanningâŚâ with the circle icon spinning, and the image of the Wifi icon ---- target icon ---- screen icon, and âScanningâŚâ text below.
⌠just, nothing is happening.
Normally this phase/task takes only seconds. Now itâs just stuck.
Product: Norton 360 Premium (I canât see a version number, but itâs fully up-to-date).
Windows: Windows 11 Home
Updates: Windows 11, version 24H2
I canât tell what version I have either. Itâs Norton 360 and as far as I know it automatically updates itself. And I did indeed do the big Windows update last week, and thatâs when the problem started. I reran it just now and itâs still doing it. Have also, Like David Mann, have booted the system.
Thanks for jumping into thisâif you can tell me how to find my version number I can look that up. Tried to find it on the tool bar but didnât see it anywhere.
Thank you!!
Thanks for this! For some reason my version doesnât come up to that page, and I canât find out why. It opens to MY NORTON and gives me scan options.
