First time I’ve used this, didn’t get the details in. This was after the big Windows update from last week. Norton runs the virus scan, but locks up at checking the wifi, and never recovers after, like a half hour. This has happened twice, including just now. I didn’t wait but about 15 minutes this time. Is this happening to anyone else, and is there a fix?

has you tryet to remove the antrivirus ore repiare it and see if that helps

Hi. I’m having the same issue.
Since Windows had an update last week Smart Scan can no longer complete the “Network” check. It completes the ‘Viruses and Malware’ check (no threats found), but it just gets stuck on the ‘Network - Scanning…’ section, with the ‘spinning’ icon looping, but nothing.

I’ve rebooted the computer, and even left the computer on overnight with the ‘Network check’ running, but it was still just ‘spinning’ this morning.

~ I’ve tried to embed an image of the screen but this post won’t allow that.
On the screen is “Network - Scanning…” with the circle icon spinning, and the image of the Wifi icon ---- target icon ---- screen icon, and “Scanning…” text below.
… just, nothing is happening.

Normally this phase/task takes only seconds. Now it’s just stuck.

Product: Norton 360 Premium (I can’t see a version number, but it’s fully up-to-date).
Windows: Windows 11 Home
Updates: Windows 11, version 24H2

I can’t tell what version I have either. It’s Norton 360 and as far as I know it automatically updates itself. And I did indeed do the big Windows update last week, and that’s when the problem started. I reran it just now and it’s still doing it. Have also, Like David Mann, have booted the system.
Thanks for jumping into this–if you can tell me how to find my version number I can look that up. Tried to find it on the tool bar but didn’t see it anywhere.
Thank you!!

im not on the 24.xx yet it is still a beta and a beta can have bugs but why dont you ask norton if there is a bug

Thanks for this! For some reason my version doesn’t come up to that page, and I can’t find out why. It opens to MY NORTON and gives me scan options.

Hello @Paul_Wiseman

  • from Norton 360 systray button → Open My Norton?

  • do you see?
