Norton software updater

When Norton finished it scan I show that there are 7 apps that need attention.  Viewing those apps it states they either need to be manually updated or manually checked.  I have done everything I can to get these updated but to no avail.  I have reloaded the apps and have re-installed norton nothing seems to work.  How do I get this risk message removed and these apps updated?

This is not related to the Software Updater feature in 360. 

Virus definitions get updated when you run LiveUpdate, either manually or just letting it run automatically about every hour (the default setting).

This is the first time I can remember this happening. I don't remember enabling it. Must have been part of an update. Just disabled it.

Not the first time Norton pushed a bug through.

There are many posts here about this feature giving incorrect information. That is also part of why it is not available to all users yet. As Norton finds issues with it they halt the roll out of the feature. Personally, if it were available to me, I would disable the feature as I already take care of the software I have installed on my systems.

See xjoex post above.  You may not even need the  suggested update.    I only use MS Windows for updates.  Also you can exclude them. You might want to turn off Auto Run. That should stop the nags. I don't think this feature was ready to be launched as it has multiple data base errors. Systems up to date are being listed as needing update, etc.  Hard to rely on a product feature when the info contains erroneous info just saying.

Sounds like you need to login to your Norton account online and get the product key for your Norton Utilities subscription.

I received a software upgrade message from Norton Utilities Premium. I applied the upgrade and upon completion I was unable to correct the identified errors without a product key leaving the entire toolset disabled. What do I need to do?

Exclude them from the scan. There are numerous update errors in the database.
