I was wondering how long it should take for Norton Speed Disk to process a 320 G hard drive that's about 3/4 full (and most of that is video files). If you count the time(s) I started and stopped it before deciding to just let it run over the last two and a half days, it may have processed about 1,000 files, unless it starts over again every time you stop and start. If it starts over again each time its stopped and started, it's only done about 700 files so far.
Please tell me I set something incorrectly so I can change it and get back to seeing it plough through my HD like it would have back in the good old DOS days. It was a joy to watch then, but then there was something to watch.
My machine is an acer Aspire One net book with an Intel Atom running at 1.6 GHz with 2 Gig of RAM running Windows 7 Starter. Any suggestions or am I doomed to running this thing until it's worn out just to get the HD/files defragged
