Today I purchased Norton Security Deluxe at Office Depot and called support when I could not download the product. I input the product code but it would not proceed. Spoke to a gentleman in India I assume and could not get anywhere. He was difficult to understand and but said he would have a Windows10 expert call me. Got a call that said it was from Virginia but I doubt it. That person got remote control of my computer and did a scan that super fast and ended with "Firewal outdated" Yes Firewall was misspelled. Then he took the computer to a site that was selling Windows support and Windows Firewalls. $149 and $99 and he would help me make the purchase. At that point, I ended the call and rebooted the computer. I was able to download the Norton program and check on the Windows firewall.
Did the support person give my phone number to a scam artist? I am pretty sure that is what happened. I can believe Norton would operate like that.
Funny I purchase a program to protect me and someone tries to steal my credit card number or at the least sell me something I don't need.
I hope this gets back to the powers that be at Norton.

PS I hope I am not just confused??
