Many months age when Symantec released the limited toolbar for Firefox I noticed a loss of the ability of playing back Comcast X1 recordings on my PC (it worked in Chrome) but I never associated this with the problem. It took a lot of testing but this appears to be the reason. I did a clean install of Firefox 64bit (after removing the Mozilla folder from appdata/roaming. After the install I went to the Xfinity page and attempted to play a recording. It worked!! I then enabled the Comcast Norton Security Suite which installs the Norton toolbar. After doing this the playback of recordings did not work any more. I then disabled the Norton toolbar but the X1 recording still did not play. It appears the Comcast Norton Security Suite interferes with the playback of recordings in Firefox 64 bit and once activated it permanently disables playback of X1 recordings. This could not be a firewall issue since X1 recordings play in Chrome on the same computer. I hope the August update to the toolbar from Symantec corrects this issue! Below is the error message I get on attempted playback:
