Is there or when will there be a Norton toolbar for 64-bit browsers?
Hi,
As of now NO, we support only 32-bit versions of IE, Firefox and Chrome.
We are yet add support for 64-bit browsers. When the usage bandwidth increases for 64-bit browsers and when the need arises we will decide something about this.

Prasanna
Sorry, but that answer just smacks of coprorate laziness.
I have been using 64-bit Windows and 64-bit browsers for a long time.
I doubt I will be renewing my NIS when it expires.
I will just use the 64-bit native version of MS Security Essentials.
Hi Yoda,
Norton works perfectly well on 64-bit operating systems. It's browser add-ons only work on 32-bit browsers, and currently Microsoft itself recommends using the 32-bit IE (the default) rather than the slower 64-bit version.
Of course, Microsoft Security Essentials does not include anything comparable to the Norton IPS add-on, or the Safe Web and Identity Safe components of the Norton Toolbar, in either 64-bit or 32-bit versions.
I am using NIS 2012 on 64-bit windows.
Safe Web - I use Web of Trust (free) instead on Waterfox x64.
Identity Safe - I use Keapass (free) as it has far better functionality.
IPS addon - might be a bit harder to replace. Haven't looked into that yet.
