I certainly hope I've put this in the right place.
We got a new computer with Vista, and I re-installed Firefox. I enjoyed having the Norton toolbar present to warn me of harmful sites, so I downloaded the compatibility patch from the Norton site again. Everything was working fine, and the computer requested a restart (Norton requested it, more specifically) so I went ahead and retsarted it. Now comes the problem. When I try to sign in to my account, I get the message "The User Profile Service service failed the logon. User profile cannot be loaded." with an "OK" option. After I click "OK" it restarts the PC puts me back at the user list.
I had logged on/off of my account several times today, without any problems, until I downloaded that patch from Norton.
I'm not really sure what to ask, so I'll leave you to give me whatever answers you may have.
