Conflict with Acronis True Image
Detailed description:
I don’t see a category for the Norton Ultra VPN so I hope this is the correct place. I do not use Norton 360. I used Norton’s antivirus products for many years but a few years ago I gave up due to many problems that required many uninstalls and reinstalls. I now use Acronis True Image for backups, and they added antivirus protection a few years ago. I was surprised that when installing the Ultra VPN, I received a warning about a conflict with the Acronis product. I went ahead and took the risk and installed anyway. Could someone please explain the conflict. I noticed that the install added two parts, the VPN and a security part. The security part was added automatically; I had no choice in whether to add this or not. If this added an antivirus component, I can understand the conflict. If that’s it, is there any way to uninstall this component of the package? If the conflict is something else, I’d appreciate any help whatsoever. If I do have problems, my only recourse will be to use the 60 day return policy and forget this VPN product as I do not want to return to the Norton antivirus suite, unless I can be readily persuaded that it works perfectly within Windows 11. If that is the case, I’m willing to turn off the antivirus protection features in the Acronis product. But I need to know whether the program conflict is isolated to the antivirus portion of the Acronis product. Any help or words of wisdom would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Bill
