Norton Utilities 15.0 - SpeedDisk not working...

This is a BRAND NEW desktop machine: AMD/8-core/3.0GHz, 16GB RAM, 2TB hard drive... I just installed NU 15.0 on it (The 2nd of my 3-license version).

 

After spending days reinstalling all of my apps on the new machine; copying files to it, I finally reached the point where it's time to DEFRAG it.  I bring up the Utilites, start SpeedDisk, in some attempts clicking on the "Disk Optimization" option does nothing; in some attempts, I get to the next display but all of the disk choices are grayed-out and no selection is possible; in some attempts it will let me click on "C:", but then it just hangs and does nothing. 

 

In ALL CASES I get this message at the bottom of the screen:    "Unable to connect to the engine."

 

LiveUpdate has brought it up to: 

Version:  15.0.0.124

Engine:   3.0.0.854

Framework: 3.0.0.700

 

Is there some update I need to make this work?
