Norton Utilities 15 has no menu

So a few days ago, I got a Windows update for my Windows 7. For some reason, this one made my computer start up extremely slow and gave it some other problems. First I tried setting the computer back to a recovery point before that update, but that didn't do anything... Very strange.

Then I remembered I had Utilities 15 installed on the computer. I opened Utilities, but when the Utilities window came on screen, there was nothing inside it. No menu to click, when it should have. Only options it has is the minimalize, enlarge, exit, the Smart Update and Help. I ran the Smart Update... It did update Utilities, but nothing changed. Still the same empty window.

I deïnstalled it, thinking that that would do the trick; but no, still no menu.

I also ran a full system check with the newest version of Norton Internet Security and it couldn't find any errors except for one:

Error: "3039,655555".

I don't know whether or not this has something to do with it, but you never know. More information is always better.

Please, if someone knows how to fix this, please tell me. I really need the computer back and running like it used to (± 1 week ago). In the meantime I'm letting Malwarebytes check my computer, as it's the last thing I can use that doesn't stop me from using the computer at the same time. My last option would be to do a drive control, but I would prefer not to, as it takes a few hours to complete, in which I cannot use the computer.

I hope my awful English was good enough to understand :)

Regards,

Dave

Hello Dave,

What is your graphics card on your PC? Is it Nvidia? Recently we had a conflict with one of their updates they released which caused the similar issues. Nvidia has updated their drivers yet again which deals with the issue. However the way to fix it was to manually get the latest driver from the Nvidia website.

Hope this helps
