Norton Utilities - Core Product file(s) have been modified

I have Norton Utilities 16 Version 16.0.2.39 on a Windows 10 computer that was working just fine until a couple of days ago. Now, when I start the program I get a Norton Utilities dialog box saying: Core Product file(s) have been modified. Please run Smart update or reinstall the product.
After I click the OK button, the program starts normally. When I run Smart Update, I get the normal dialog box saying Update Complete! Your product is up-to-date. Please click Finish to exit Smart Update. When I click Finish, the normal Dashboard page comes up. This happens every time I start the program.

Once a month I clone my computer’s hard drive (HD) with the Acronis program. I have replaced the entire program with a copy from one of the backup HDs and gotten the same problem. Also, I have booted the computer to the backup HD and gotten the same problem.

So it maybe that the problem is related to the Operating System.
