Norton Vault Closing timeout

The vault is closing and I have to log on again after a while. The timeout longest timeout value I can set is 45 minutes.

Before this behavior changed, I was able to keep the vault open for the duration of the Windows session and outomaticaly login yo my vault upon windows session starts.

Is there any setting I am missing?

Why version upgrades always remove some features?

Is Norton/Symantec following Microsoft paradigm of software improvements that always remove some nice features?

Thanks

As Yank notes you need to remove the setting for a timed response, and replace it with the setting for each login session.

Hello Yank and peterweb,

Thank you both for the explanation; unfortunately only one can be marked as solution.

Since all options are radio buttons there is no way to unselect all.

I would never have thought that "Ask for my password..." option would keep the vault open.

This is very misleading. It should be: "Ask for my password . . . and keep the vault open during session." or something similar.

You are welcome for the assist and glad you got it sorted.

Glad to hear we were able to help.

Unfortunately, design decisions for user interfaces wiill never be perfect for everyone. The best we can do is to post to the Product Suggestions board to see if we can influence the engineers in developing the next version.
