To help troubleshoot this, could you share a bit more?

  • Which Norton product are you using? (e.g., Norton 360, Norton Antivirus Plus, etc.)
  • What exactly happens when it tries to update? (error message, stuck at a certain %, or just silently fails?)
  • Is this on Windows, Mac, or another platform?
  • Does it affect only one device, or multiple?
  • What platform is affected? (Windows, Mac, Android, iOS?)
  • Do you see any specific error message when the update fails?
  • Is it the LiveUpdate that’s blocked, or the full product update?
  • Have you already tried the usual steps (restart, run LiveUpdate manually, etc.)?

Are you Norton 360 for Windows?

W11/10 machine → Restart (not Shut down)

If your Norton is not working as expected and you’ve tried Troubleshooting → Reset to Default &or Repair Norton & clean re-install Norton 360…then…reach out to Norton support.
Note: Reset to Default resets Cloud Backup

Maybe, try Troubleshooting → Record a performance issue &or Enable/Send debug logs
