Norton VPN for Samsung Smart TV

For the last 2 years I’ve had Norton VPN on my Samsung Smart TV.
I’ve just renewed Norton 360 for another year but cannot get the VPN up on the TV.
I previously used Downloader to get Norton and signed in to get VPN.
This time Norton won’t accept my sign in details and keeps asking for them.
Frustrated, I deleted the Norton VPN app from TV and tried to download it again but Downloader won’t do it. I keep getting the message “problem with parsing” or similar errors.
Have thing changes from last year that I cannot use my Norton account to secure my TV?
Thanks

Actually, I’m surprised you were able to run the Norton VPN on a smart TV. The proprietary OS used is not the standard Android OS which is what Norton requires.

If you were using the standalone Norton Secure VPN app, the latest version 25.x.x. may have changed something that is not incompatible with your TV.

FWIW!!

While you can find Norton 360 apps for Android and iOS devices, there’s no specific Norton app available for Samsung TVs through the Samsung TV App Store.

Here’s a breakdown:

Norton offers apps for Android and iOS devices, providing antivirus and security features, inclu> ding a VPN.

  • No Samsung TV App:

Norton Secure VPN doesn’t offer apps for streaming devices like Apple TV, Fire TV, or Android TV.

  • Alternative Security:

You can still protect your Samsung TV’s network and devices connected to it using Norton 360 on other devices, like your phone or computer.

  • Samsung TV Security:

Samsung TVs have built-in security features, and you can also consider using a router with built-in security features or a separate security software on your home network.

Maybe the OP had Norton VPN installed on a router that supports third party software and were using it via that method?
