Norton VPN kills my internet connection

I find that Norton VPN blocks the internet on both my home network and mobile device. It's not all the time; it's intermittent. When it occurs, I turn off the VPN and access the web just fine. Why is that? I want my connections to be safe and secure, but these kinds of annoyances cannot happen. If there is a specific reason that the VPN does that, it should provide an alert or some sort of notification or prompt...

Are you looking for Support, or a VPN connection in Dubai? I do not see a VPN region for UAE.

If you are looking for Support, you can contact them at   www.norton.com/contactcs  You can choose between phone and chat support.

Is there anything we can help you with here?

As I noted, you do not need a VPN when using a cell connection. So next time you use a public wifi, try connecting to a different VPN region.

I have it set up to only connect to unsecured networks. It happens randomly when I’m using cellular data or on a public wifi. There doesn’t seem to be a rhyme or reason. I turned off the VPN feature entirely and haven’t had any incidents since.

Are you seeing this on your home network or when away from home? Are you using Cell data or a Wifi hotspot? With cell data, you do not need a VPN as the data is already being encrypted as it leaves your phone.

You can try using different VPN regions to see if you can find one with better performance. From the 360 interface, tap on Privacy and then on VPN Region.
