Norton VPN not showing up

  • I have purchased Norton VPN
  • Is shows in my account and I am able to download and run the install program.
  • Then, the VPN cannot be found anywhere on my PC. Not anywhere in Norton 360, there's no icon for it anywhere and it is not listed in Task Manager (see below).

I'm running Win 11 on a Lenovo P17 gen 2.

Can somebody please help me?

Many TIA, Richard

If your subscription includes Norton Secure VPN but you cannot access the feature, your Norton product is in the Classic view. Access to certain features is available only through the My Norton window. In such cases, you may have to switch between the My Norton window and the Classic view.

Thanks very much everyone. Found it, enabled it, and it works.

Minor complaint, it's the slowest VPN I've used. With others, I had approx. 200 mps DL.. With Norton it's 123.  Oh well.

If you have N360 you need to switch from classic view to N360, there you will find the VPN switch.

Norton 360 systray icon -> click Open My Norton

Open My Norton for My Norton view
Open Norton 360 for Classic view

Note:
Settings from systray icon opens My Norton Settings
Settings from Classic view opens Norton 360 Settings

Norton 360 => Open My Norton (from systray icon) => My Norton view

...how do I reach Norton support directly?

Norton Official Support is via Chat or Phone.  No Email support.

What's your geo-location/country?  Are you United States?
Maybe, I can post Norton Official Support phone number, if you want.

The problem is that I see NOTHING in 360 saying a VPN is a feature in the product, or is active or anything about it. And as with all VPNs I've used, I'm sure there will be times when I need to turn it off.

I certainly appreciate your help, but how do I reach Norton support directly?

Thanks again,

Richard

If you have Norton 360 you do not need the standalone Norton Secure VPN app. In fact, sometimes it causes conflicts because of the included VPN feature in 360. The exception to this is if you are in a market where 360 does not include the VPN.

Your image appears to be from Task Manager. The 360 VPN feature does not show up as a separate process. I just checked and the Standalone Secure VPN only shows when the VPN is active.

Nope.  The only Norton programs listed are:

  • Norton 360
  • Norton Driver Updater
  • Norton Utilities Ultimate

Also, FWIW, when I go into my uninstaller program (Revo Uninstaller Pro - which is an EXCELLENT program btw) it also only lists the above.

Thanks very much though, any other thoughts?

Richard

Does the VPN program show up in your applications?
Windows button + R , then appwiz.cpl
