This may seem silly to the techies in here but--I am confused. I installed another Norton 360 (my year had run out on last Norton near Feb. 21st 2013). Cool. OK so a 'memo' pops up, looks nothing like a Norton 'item', but I guess it IS. Then MacAfee pops up intermittently, saying that 'they are going to do a scan'. ? Is: can I delete MacAfee from my PC or SHOULD I? Pc just had it's 1st birthday, ergo the new N360...there is even a 'RegCurePro' on my PC...
Also--I wanted to do a system recovery but the only file/place I could recover was the LAST scan of Norton, which was like 'yesterday' @the time. I wish there were a N360 for dummies, LOL, that I could LISTEN to, to HELP ME get 'it', or get something, I seem to have a java program & a different 'flash'.Trying to manage those pop ups alone r mind boggling but/yet I know this really isn't the place to get THAT answer, & I am not a very patient 'gal', so telling me to 'start by reading the ..blah blah blah...won't help because reading goes in one eye & out the other.
There seem to be files in a quarantine but I can't delete them & the number of them blew me away ! My history says that over 1 5 0 THOUSAND!!! & I just play a silly game through Zynga, ck yahoo mail once in awhile, & lOOk up information on wiki, things like that which I A S S UME had no virus connections. lol @ assumptions, right?(remembering that old saying..Re: assume, & that is MY 2¢ worth today!). I tell you things aren't quite as easy or secure as they were, say 15 yrs ago when I was all over the www, but SSH don't tell anyone 
Ha ha on ME. Thanks for anything you can tell me, but please, I need instructions that my 3 yr old grandson could perform! & I tried to attach a page telling me that downloading Safari browser wasn't going to be a 'good thing' so I hope it shows up. & I'm wondering wth to do w/UNinstalling? How can I or how DID I get a virus in that sense??
I need you to understand that I simply cannot just can't 'ask a ??', it's just not that easy for me. And I certainly hope that I posted in the right area, I've been scolded for something to do with threads. ( I m NOT all THAT PC literate but I understand/get that a' thread' is just another name for a topic, why DON'T THEY JUST SAY TOPIC?? sheeze it shouldn't be so difficult & NOT spelled out!!??) sorta like: Is it a cliff or a sequester or a scare tactic? Yeah I know it's a poor 'likeness'...(UGH My 'save as' for the screen print I wanted to attach is apparently an invalid ext. my options are: PNG, JPEG, BMP, GIF, & 'other' which I dared not to go to. Sorry about that. Seems I can't even do THAT right..(to TOP this 'effort of hours' off, I NOW get the msg : "Your post has been changed because invalid HTML was found in the message body. The invalid HTML has been removed. Please review the message and submit the message when you are satisfied" NO CLUE what was omitted here. actually I'm beginning to think there's NO CLUE HERE, either! ME, that is.
