Norton Vulnerability Protection 11.3.0.9 - 5 disabled in Firefox 22

Have been promted by Firefox while updating to its latest version, i.e. 22, yesterday, that the add-on "Norton Vulnerability Protection 11.3.0.9 - 5" is disabled as it is not compatible with Firefox Version 22. Have also updated all virus definition updates & a patch last night, and even now the said add-on remains disabled. Can someone let me know if this is a common issue, and if Norton Team is working on it ?

Yes, other Firefox 22 users are having the same problem and Norton is working on a patch - see Mohan_G's post here in the Norton Toolbar / Norton Identity Safe board.

Norton is still working on a patch.  Tony Weiss has posted some background information about this NVP problem here in the Norton Toolbar / Norton Idenity Safe board and will likely post further updates in that thread.

The patch for the Norton Vulnerability Protection extension for Firefox 22 is now available via LiveUpdate - see Tony Weiss's post here for further details.  Some users have reported that a system re-boot was required before the update took effect.

I can confirm Imacri's post, as I've been holding off for the patch. I just updated to Firefox 22, and the NVP is working fine. Thanks, Norton....:smileyhappy:

Thanks @Imacri. Got updated with latest IPS as mentioned in post by Tony Weiz. The Norton VP is enabled in FF22 now.
