I received three Cardian RFID blocker cards that I had ordered online. When I tried to activate the card by scanning the Q code on the back with my cellphone, a warning from Norton popped up and recommended stopping the process.
Are the Cardian RFID blocker cards really scams, or are they legit and Norton over-reacted?
What did the Norton warning say? Are you able to tell the website that the QR code is sending you ?
from my point of view it is error, because a lot of people are using Cardian, the Safe card, even a lot of Cardian reviews found it safe
I just had the same experience exactly: I received 3 Cardian RFID blocker cards that I ordered online. When I scanned the QR code next to text that mentioned “setup” (on the front of the card), it took me to a website that Norton popped up and blocked as unsafe. I’ve now read a number of reviews and they are all extremely positive. But they leave me with two concerns: (1) they’re all extremely similar - almost as if they’ve been written by a single source; and (2) they are so positive they sound almost too good to be true. Another concern I have is that they are so widely marketed on various websites, YouTube, etc. … they’re almost “inescapable”.
Looking at these cards, there is no reason for any online setup. The card is not connected to any online service. It seems the QR code is trying to get you to register your cards.
Again, I ask what the Norton warning is saying about this site? Is it phishing, or malicious?
