I am using an iPhone 12 Pro Max with iOS 18.3.
Issue abstract:
The web-site of Norton does not recognise [VIP Access], what is to say Norton’s mobile Authenticator app, what is curious, because it works with the one of Microsoft (Google is also proposed).
Detailed description:
Norton’s VIP Access recognise Norton’s web-site, but the website does not recognise the code proposed by Norton VIP Access (despite enough time left).

VIP Access 5.0.1 for iOS.

Not pertinent to add screenshots, as the no-recognition does not figure on screens.
Although it is not a major issue for me, I have several accounts in Microsoft Authenticator, (and in Google authenticator), so I prefer not-to read all the list each time, and to use the dedicated Norton VIP Access for Norton web-site, please.
I do understand your issue as I use VIP Access for other sites but not Norton.
I just went into my Norton account and found this as options for 2FA. “Download a free authenticator app like Google Authenticator, Duo Mobile, or Microsoft Authenticator from a mobile app store”.
It does not mention VIP Access specifically and you would think it would so I am wondering if it has dropped that as a possible Authenticator app. The app is from Symantec the old company name before NortonLifelock and now Gen Digital.
You can still use the older Symantec VIP authentication app. I Just checked and it still works with my Norton Account. But it does not work the same way it did when we first got the app.
You need to add a new 2fa method in your Norton Account. Open the VIP app and tap on the + sign to add a new site to your authenticator app. Then go to your Norton Account and click on Add a new method in the 2fa section. Choose to use an Authenticator app and click next. Scan the QR code into the VIP app and follow any directions to complete the setup. Now when you go to log into your Norton Account, you will need to open the VIP app and swipe left on the page to bring up the code for your Norton Account. You cannot use the one noted on the opening page of the VIP app.
You can do this for most other sites that want/need 2fa protection.
