To put it simply, Norton is the worst anti-virus company of all time, worse than Electronic Arts, Konami, Ubisoft, and Nintendo combined, just because Norton is named after a Dr. Suess character when an big fat elephant is talking to a flower. Yes, Norton is the center of controversy, when someone bring the elephant in the office while they are working on an anti-virus scan.
@Emerik1995 Hello and I hate seeing the frustration you are having. We certainly will help you in every way possible here on the forums.

I got ripped off buying that useless Utilities Ultimate, they wanted more money after buying that to update outdated drivers ! Will be cancelling and going elsewhere
I hate Norton so much! First they charge an exorbitant amount for their renewal subscription, so I always buy it from Amazon. As punishment (I presume) they make it almost impossible for a reasonable person to install the new subscription to an existing account. If there was a good replacement product I would change immediately.
Hello @SONJIA_EDWARDS
It’s a common frustration—Norton’s rates from retailers like Amazon are often significantly lower than the standard renewal price they charge existing users.
To apply your Amazon subscription to your existing account without losing your remaining days or having to reinstall everything, use these steps:
How to Add Your Amazon Key
Wait until near expiration: Applying a new key often overwrites any remaining days on your current subscription rather than adding to them. It’s best to wait until 1–2 days before your old one expires.
Open the Norton App: On your computer, open the main Norton interface.
Enter a Key:
Enter the 25-character key found in your Amazon Digital Orders.
Disable Auto-Renewal: Activating a new key often automatically reenables Norton’s auto-renewal at their full price. You must manually go to your Norton Account Settings and turn it off again to avoid a surprise charge next year.
Pro-Tip: Merging Subscriptions
If you already activated the new key and realized you lost 20+ days of your old subscription, you can contact Norton Support. If you ask a live agent to “merge” the subscriptions, they can often manually add the remaining days from your old license to your new one.
Users may contact support - request new key term added to current key term…after key is registered with your Norton account…to avoid losing remaining days.
Note: new key starts new term.
