Norton WiFi Privacy - Is All This Stuff Needed?

Who knows the answer...Yes I do feel like it's all being crammed down my throat all the time, emails that even you selected not to receive them it is like all of  these companies  do it, it's called capitalism! They scare you to death to get you to buy their product. I never had one issue with viruses etc until I purchased anti virus protection, security all of it, of course that was 8 or 9 years ago, different world! Used other products not just Norton's, which I do say Norton are the best but; nothing is 100% once they have your info! Look at the latest with Equifax and no one is holding them accountable, oh they are gonna give you protection now! Where was the protection then? Why should I sign up when they already lost what was mine not theirs; to lose it again?  Maybe it's all a big scan to get 2.5 million people to buy someones product? LOL

I just signed up for Norton WiFi Privacy to try as my annual will be up so for a few dollars for the 5 devices I have I'll try it. been using Opera with built in vpn, no issues, and it's free. I'll still use Opera and their vpn which to me why isn't all browser giving us free vpn???? Again, capitalism!

Hope Outlook will work (seen issues mentioned on this forum) with WiFi Privacy; may be a security conflict with Microsoft and Norton; it's happened before I'm sure it won't be the last.

There is a flaw with Norton subscriptions for your other devices though, Say you have kids away at college but their device is on your subscription; so you send an email to them to add the Norton services that mom & dad paid for; well when you open the email they have to log into the Norton account; how are they gonna know the login info; that is my account why do I want to give the kids my credentials? Why doesn't Norton send a pass-code with that email for your other users so they don't have to log into Norton?  2nd flaw, I sent an email to my mobile device , when I select the link it has to options: free trail of WiFi Privacy or I can select already have a paid subscription (which I have to log into an account). Why doesn't  Norton recognize my device as it is one of my devices that already as the security bundle scription which has a Privacy feature "Your data is safe" that has a score of 100% . I think it's Capitalism gone a muck.  It's just like insurance on your car or home, all those premiums you pay out year after year after year..... you got it if you need it and hope you don't have to use it LOL

Overall I have been pleased with Norton's products!
