Norton Won't "Fix Now" Problems

I left my computer on last night and woke up to it turning off and on by itself, which is unusual.  Then I get a message on my computer saying Windwos Firewall is turned off and my Norton is turned off.  So I then did System Restore which isn't working. Then I keep getting messages to update my Norton, but it's brand  new and should be working.

It says my Aut-Protect, Antispyware, Inbound Email Scanning, and Outbound Email Scanning is turned off and I can't fix them. It also won't let me scan.

I have Windows 7 64 bit Home Starter Kit.

I'm wondering if I should just reinstal my Vista and then use my Windows 7 Upgrade Kit.. OR if anyone can help me because I don't know if I can reinstal my free upgrade again.

Hi KibaKibbles,

Welcome to Norton Community!

Download Norton Removal Tool from this LINK. Run the removal tool multiple times(2-3 mins) to make sure that all components are uninstalled completely. Go to your Norton Account using this LINK and get the Product Key. You may require this same Product Key for activating the Norton program. You can use the Upgrade Center for installing Norton program you had. After installing the Norton program, run LiveUpdate repeatedly untill you see the message "No more updates" and then restart the computer. Let us know the results.

From what I can see now it works! Thank you so much.  Do you know what could have caused it to error so much?
