Just to be clear what that means…
Here’s the Norton window on my screen, I cannot expand it in any direction.
Yet I need to scroll up and down within the window to see all the options?
It’s just so painful to use…
What screen resolution are you using?
From the screenshot. The OP has their screen set to 3840x2160 which equated to 4K resolution.
SA
The size/resolution is not the problem, even on a normal 1920 the same issue occurs. You can’t make the window use more real estate, but you’re expected to scroll to find things. Design patterns borrowed from Windows Vista…
Agree and have the same issue.
Had to reinstall because it wouldn’t let me scroll to the bottom of the app.
Just one of many disasters hiding in this redesigned interface.
the new interface is simply horrible , in some of my PC’s I only see the top left corner (the exact opposite of this case) ,and impossible to click or slide the window … if we add the working Backup function that was removed and now they put it back but doesn’t work and dont see the network drives , the adware on a payed software , it’s getting worse and worse …
I don’t think you are understanding.
The Smart Scan option is nothing but adware and its shoved in your face throughout the app as well as being set as a default for all new users.
You can disable it from running but there is no way to disable the sight of this wretched option everywhere you look.
When I pay for a product I do not expect to be seeing upselling rubbish like this throughout the app.
who is not understanding?
are you reporting Mute special offers
does not mute special offers…when you run Smart Scan?
Yes - we know that the Smart Scan ads can’t be disabled. Or the Smart Scan prompts which are everywhere you look within the app.
Its been designed that way as Norton want to trick customers into buying more rubbish they don’t need.
Would you disagree?
Norton have stuck a Store option in the app which says it all about their priorities - but if they want to show promotional offers this is where they should all be stored. Nowhere else.
Oh, okay… I do not disagree.
I was trying to clarify who you were speaking to here.
I’m curious to understand what adware
@Hugo_Madeira is referring to here…Norton marketing Norton in general or Norton marketing Norton with Smart Scan?
are you reporting Mute special offers
does not mute special offers in general &or when you run Smart Scan?
Caveat: my Norton scans are manually run
