Not able to connect to Cisco VPN Client after installing new Norton Internet Security

Norton Internet Security was on machine and ready to expire, a new subscription was purchase and installed using Norton prompts, with out disconnecting from the internet so I believe that the previous settings were lost. (I had not found this community yet to find out the best way to do this)  Now I can not connect to Cisco VPN Client to access a business's intranet system.  The business's tech support says there is a problem with the spyware/phishing not allowing this connection, although that was all the help he could give.

Besides that problem the computer is also running very slowly and now after the updates it will not close down.

I have tried the many of the Norton suggestions and tried to 'chat' with support session although it ended it self and I've stumbled upon this community while looking for help.
I've already completed several Auto Fix Tool, disabling Phishing Protection, did the defragmenter, disk cleanup and ran live updates.

I can not find anything specific to this problem. The VPN Client is vital to my work.

Any suggestions. BYW, I'm not very technical- just enough to follow simple directions.
