Hi,
Just had my Bullguard AVG software automatically replace with Norton 360, and since this I'm not able to launch Elder Scrolls online or Lord of the Rings Online, no errors come up the games just do not open. I have followed instructions on the ESO website to repair and delete the launcher, but this has not resolved the issues. I have added the launcher and game folders to the exclusions on Norton 360, but still not joy. There are no messages in the Windows event log, the launcher just does nothing.
Anyone got any suggestions, at the moment wasting my time trying to resolve something that was forced on my laptop and has broken my games?
Thank you for all the comments, I have been working with the Elder Scrolls Online (ESO) support and have identified the issues with not being able to run the game, it turns out another third-party application that I had installed prior to the Norton 360 installation that worked ok on my laptop previously had a conflict with Norton 360 and stopped ESO from working. The application was called "Kamo", I have stopped the service linked to this and I'm able to run the game successfully now.
Still having issues, not able to log onto the Norton 360 application or the website, so not even able to get support for the issues. Try to reset the password, but it does not send an email to reset it. If I did not just purchase the extended time with Bullguard I would be looking to replce the product but as I have paid for the software via Bullguard, not sure what else to do other than put up with not being able to play the game I invested most in for the past several years, with an AV that says it's for gamers
Not very impressed so far with this migration from Bullguard.
Hi,
With regards to Bullguard it appears to have been uninstalled from my laptop, no services running for it.
It really is a shame the Bullguard was removed, I had no issues with running any games getting viruses while it was running, the performance of my laptop has dropped since Norton was installed, application load slower, internet pages are slow to load, not a very good experience so far from Norton, I had heard reports from other people about Norton AV but tend to ignore them but now that I have experienced the same things on my laptop it's hard to ignore.
Unfortunately, I had just paid for a renewal with Bullguard, so need to get Norton working for all my games and also improve the performance of my laptop back to now it was prior to Norton being installed.

My whole system is a mess after being transferred from BULLGUARD photos are not loading on news sites or take ages, facebook either freezes or doesnt load at all. Nothing works Windows 8 on laptop. Dont know what to do Bullguard was fine and felt safe only just paid for new year now I virtually have no pc. Shut down and start up now take three times as long, HELP
One thing to check is that Bullguard was uninstalled before Norton was installed. A few users here have found that they still had Bullguard running. Look in Task Manager to see if there are any Bullguard processes active.

Hi,
I have tried tweaking the settings and added the game .exe to the list of games to be optimized but still get the same results. I even turned off the feature but still the same, so this does not appear to have made any difference.
If there is anything further, I could try please let me know.
Hi Mark,
Could you please check if tweaking game optimizer settings helps.
