Not able to print from internet

My system is Windows Vista and since I upgraded my Norton 360 to the 4.0 I have been unable to print from the internet (Google maps, etc.).  The previous version of Norton 360 I had did not pose this problem.  Anyone havening similar problems and if so any solutions to the problem?  Samblossom

Hi Samblossom,

Welcome to Norton Community!

Let us know what exactly happens when you try to print. Do you receive any error message? Can you disable the firewall and then try to print?

Yogesh

Hi Yogesh and thank you for your reply.

It prints a page number in the top right corner of the sheet of paper and a file name across the bottom of the sheet with the days date at the right and that's all.  No error messages of any kind.  Disable firewall?  Have very limited knowledge there.

Right-click on the Norton icon in your system tray(bottom-right corner) and select the option Disable Smart Firewall. When the Security Request prompts, select Permanently from the drop-down menu and click OK. Then try to print from the Internet and let us know the results.

Disabled firewall, still did the same thing when attempting to print from the internet.

Can you disable the AntiVirus Auto-Protect and check whether you are able to print from the Internet?

Yogesh

Yogesh,

Disabled the AntiVirus Auto-Protect and was able to print from the internet , open job applications, etc.  However, this leaves my system unprotected which is not an acceptable option.  There is no reason to have Norton if my system is not protected.  Please advise.
