Moved to the NIS/NAV Board for better exposure.
Hi guys
I think you need to post this in the NIS/NAV Forum.Community watch is not something you can connect to as far as I am aware. If you want to find out more about it do a search top left and type in community watch and there you should come up some interesting threads.
Thanks for replying, I rebooted and tried again but got the same error message. Here is some info on my Toshiba L300. Processor:Intel(R) Coreā¢2 Duo CPU T6400@2.00GHz 2.00GHz. Memory(Ram 4.00GB. I removed the 360 by the ad/remove option in control panel.
I have a hunch.
When I tried installing NIS2009 on one client's machine. I erroneously thought that the installation had failed and relaunched it. As a result I crashed both installations. The result was leaving some debris on the machine that interacted with my new attempts at installation by giving me the same "not enough memory" error.
Assuming something similar might have happened in your case, I would recommend using the Norton Removal Tool to clear all Norton software from your computer AND doing a search and delete to remove all Norton/Symantec folders or files. (In my case, the offending file was in the Temps folder in My Documents, so you might consider looking there first and cleaning it out before trying all this other stuff). After you have thoroughly cleaned your drive, reinstall NIS and see what happens.
Keep in mind:
The strategy I suggest removes all Norton software so you should note down the activation codes in case you need to use them again.
I just switched from Norton 360 to Antivirus 2009 and ran a scan on my new laptop with 4.00 GB of RAM. Under security history I clicked Norton Community Watch feedback (submitted), then attempted to use the link to the community watch, but got an error message that says, "there is not enough memory to perform this task". I am assuming that this is a Norton glitch since I never had this problem with 360. I don't have any other programs running. Anyone else with this problem
