Noton Anti-Virus 2011 + Advanced SystemCare V4

Does anybody use 'Advanced  System Care V4' as a 2nd cleaner/utility program with Norton Anti-Virus 2011 ?    Free version doesn't run real time unless you use the PRO version.   Also would I need 'Threatfire' too or is Norton A/V enough?  Computer runs ok, just asking if anymore 'security' is needed.

Thanks  :smileyhappy:

HI acme,

Malwarebytes' and SUPERAntiSpyware are two free, reputable programs that can be used as reliable on-demand scanners.  Independent reviews of IOBit products, if you can even find them, have not been stellar (see below).  Also Malwarebytes' made a pretty convincing case a couple of years ago, alleging that IOBit was stealing and using MBAM's detection signatures.  Malwarebytes' intentionally created a completely phony definition that somehow quickly also appeared, virtually unchanged, in IObit's signature file.

Thanks for reply.

The version reviewed was 3.0 ,  Advanced SystemCare.   I tried version 4.0 and all the bad things that was stated in the review didn't happen .

Seems that lady who reviewed it didn't like it before she tested it.  The Advanced SystemCare V4 did do a good job of cleaning and making my PC a little faster and a quicker response when keying.

The best way to use Threatfire is to turn off the 'Real Time' option and use it as a back-up scanner.  :smileywink:

I think i'll try full monty and just use Norton anti-virus 2011 alone (2012 when beta testing is finish)

I wanted to find out if people noticed any improvements using AdvanceCare or Threatfire.

I won't use iObit indeed. You might want to consider Ccleaner with one of the options allready mentioned
