Hi here. I think that NPE needs Quarantine option. It will helps end user of this tool to make right decision regarding suspicious or potential malware files. It shouldn't look like regular quarantine ability of NIS/NAV/N360 , when suspicious(or any) files should be quarantined, then they actually shouldn't be deleted from original location. NPE should make only a copy of these files and put them into quarantine folder which also needs to be predefined by some option in "Settings" tab.(see the picture)
Later, user can upload quarantine contents to VirusTotal service and / or directly to SSR(Symantec Security Response) via retail submission form, so the contents of this folder shouldn't be encrypted but in relation of user security the contents of this folder should be stored as npe_qur0001.dat, npe_qur0002.dat ... (or any other file names with non executable extension). This will prevent the occasional execution of potentially malware and / or suspicious files and make a good control, from security point of view, of these types of files.
