NSc.exe Error Popup breakpoint exception

Hi again,

I'm still getting this pop up almost everytime I'm on the computer. it says clock ok to terminate the program. Then it freezes Norton 360 and I am without an antivirus on the internet. It also happens when I try to communicate with Norton with smartscan trying to communicate with norton at the end. I have uninstalled and reinstalled itm tried the commands SFC and DISM in DOS to repair any problems. No problems there. I tried the suggestion to run MalwareBytes and it ripped out one of my programs that also protects me. I had to uninstall it and reinstall my program again.
Isn't there any support from Norton other than 'Ask the community'? Sad that they sell you the software and then do everything in their power to avoid contact or tech support. Anyone else have this problem? Thanks for any help,
BTW Norton also allowed W32/Futurax.A into my computer and now I have icons covering my photo thumbnails in explorer and took over the shortcut icon on my desktop now.

Hello Alex. What is your OS, its version and its build? In Windows. The error 0x80000003 is a common issue either with the registry being corrupted or a driver / memory usage conflict. Do you have or had you previously installed then removed FortiGuard antivirus on this system? You linked to that website with the description of the virus detected. I would scan and check any removable drive you have or have been using for this threat as well. That is the most common avenue for it to propagate.

Have you run Norton Backup since, Norton reinstall/s?
Maybe, the icons covering your photo thumbnails are Norton Backup Status Overlay?

 • Backup Status Overlay: Inserts an icon on files.

Protected - Green icon next to the file indicates that the file has been backed up

Unprotected - Blue icon next to the file indicates that the file has been modified after it has been backed up

Excluded - Gray icon next to the file indicates that the files has been excluded from its backup set
